It's nothing but an app that lists currently running tasks and it gives you options to stop the task from running if you want to. This is not a new feature. I've been using this since the original Note came out.

I made the same mistake, but figured it out on my way home from an errand. Still pissed that we don't get the notification panel customization option. Always something with AT&T.

I have NEVER seen that before in the dozens of videos I've seen. Those were either rooted phones with custom skins or something else you were seeing.
