+1 Mine was doing it every now and then and then constantly this past saturday. I just ejected the SIM and reseated it and havent had a problem since. Just make sure when you put the tray back in that its flush with the body of the phone.

Actually you can just hold the power button and tap the home button =) I find it easier then holding power and volume dow 3 seconds

Mine showed only the HTC option as well until I added pictures to my gallery lol But not sure if it was that or going into it from the main settings screen first.
