Hi, on my Moto G5+, I could use the fingerprint reader to manually lock the screen. On the G7, that doesn't seem to work, and I have to press the power key to lock the screen. Is there a way to enable the fingerprint lock? Thanks, KR

No, turned off "favorite" designation, restarted phone, still see the overlay icon. :-(

No. Tried from the home screen icon and from within contacts.

OK, logged in. I have no idea if I used Direct Dial widgets on the G5. But on the G7, I jest went into the contact and selected the "add to home screen" option. Is there another way to get them on the home screen without the needless overlay? Thanks, KR

I just switched from a Verizon Moto Droid to an unlocked Moto G5 Plus. The default messaging app is different ("Messages" vs "Messaging") so I installed the old Messaging app. It works fine for SMS, and is set to the default SMS app. However, if I try to share a contact, Messaging does not show...
