I have seen Google Play services causing lots of wake time even when no location aware apps are being used. Google likes to collect tracking info whenever they can. Disabling location services stops this.

Nothing wrong with that. Personally I'm often not in a hurry to charge, so I'll intentionally use a 1A charger for slower charging. Slow charging is typically easier on a battery than fast charging.

Location services can waste a lot of battery. Try turning that off in settings. Also check the Battery option in Settings to see what is using battety. For further info about what is using battery, get the BetterBatteryStats app.

I've been using the 8 MP setting. I prefer the 4:3 aspect ratio, and I don't need 13 MP from my cell phone photos.

Re: Notes from iPhone to S4 I had no problem using SmartSwitch to transfer my data on Win 7 x64. Another option if you use Outlook an an Exchange server is Notes For Exchange. It allows you to sync notes directly with outlook. It provides its own notes app, doesn't work with smemo.

You'll probably want a visual voicemail app. If you are on AT&T, you can download their app for free from the Play store. Another option is to switch you voicemail to Google Voice and then use that app. There are other 3rd party options also, but I have not tried them. Weatherbug is my favorite...
