My HTC M8 keeps sending weird emoticons. It sends these weird faces whenever I try to send oldschool smileys, and it sends IPhone emoticons whenever I try to use the android smileys. After a long time of frustration, I finally tried other keyboards, but no such luck. Posted via the Android...

Here we go! Those awful smileys. Adding this on as well: even though I only have android emoticons, it sends iPhone ones, even to android phones. Posted via the Android Central App

Hi. I purchased my HTC One M8 a few weeks ago and I love it so far...except for these weird smiley faces! Every time I try to type in a :) or a :( it replaces it with this weird smiley face. It shows up as :) when it's in the typing box, but as soon as I send the text it turns into this...
