I just got a 2nd hand Z580CA off ebay. It says I am the build from the attached photo, which I take to be 5.4 Looking on the Asus UK site (as I am from the UK), I see ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA) Firmware: V5.6.0 (for WW SKU version only) is available. How do I actually get that installed...

Thanks but don't want to use a third party launcher. Why do Google don't think they are not needed? Am I missing the point here? If I switch my phone on and have missed/unread SMS overnight, for example, I'd like to know how many etc. Why do google not think this is necessary, what do others do?

I've just got my 5X and want to try and keep everything stock. I've come from a Moto X running ActionLauncher. Is it possible to get a widget on the homescreen which will tell me how many unread SMS messages I have? I can't believe this isn't the default position, unless I am missing something...

Re: Nexus 5x reviews FWIW I had a Z5 compact for 1 day, camera is awful, blurry around the edges, lag when opening the camera app is truly horrible, 5 secs+++ Had the 5X for 5 hours so far, it is SO much nicer than the Z5 Compact....
