I already have an inverter I bought off Amazon a while back, so I just ordered an extra USB-C wall charger from the Google store and will plug it into my inverter for in-car charging. Not exactly the most compact solution, but it does give full USB-C rapid charge in the car.

Google will give you a free in-home demo for 14 days (ie, return policy). Your card will be charged only when the phone ships. A pre-authorization will be taken when you place the order, but that will have no impact on you (unless you are close to your card's credit limit)
