Its not the cable. Its most likely the phone. Mine does the same thing. I have 2 differant cables and have tested each one in other devices so I know most deffinetly the phone.

You can use a custom kernel and run netflix. The same one thst works for the transformer works for the a500. Check out xda.

Basically you have to root your pad and use rootexplorer to replace the wpa-suplicant file. That's what I've done and I'm writing this on my tethered acer.

Idk. But you can play netflix on your tab without it.

I just started using sync sms. Its not exactly instant but they have a Google push option being tested by a few people and when it comes out it will be awesome. Don't have to go between phone and tablet to txt. I tether my tab from my phone so its great for me

I only used iconiaroot. Didn't have to use Acer recovery. Installed iconiaroot with astromanager.
