I've had AT&T since the first iPhone on launch day. No major complaints. I can also buy virtually any unlocked device and not worry. My friends on Verizon however are always complaining. Not about reception but everything else.

I'd wait until version 2. If they last that long. Which, given their initial launch foibles and the reviews sitting on YouTube right now is very unlikely. Too bad, I was very interested in this device.

Since some of you might be tempted to get it at BB to return it if you don't like it, remember they have a $35 restock fee on returning an unlocked cell phone.

Unfortunately us early adopters sometimes pay for being early... :). I hope my Note 8 doesn't end up with a fatal flaw like ... last year's model.

I like my case. It is a bit heavy though. Wireless charging does work if laid flat. I like the way it looks and feels. Like the built in kickstand and getting the Spen out is pretty easy. That can sometimes be a chore on other cases. But I am looking for a "around the house" case that is a bit...

I saw a 360 video shot with the camera accessory today. It was pretty good! My S8 is a nice phone and feels great in hand. However the heavy Samsung layer on top of Android is terrible. So it is great to have a stock Android option with great build quality.

If you want to be a paid beta tester then hats off to you. But for $700 I expect a phone that gets a competent touch stack and camera! That said, this is an exciting design and some good first steps with the phone. So I hope there is a version 2.

Yes, the S8 is a great size. My wife has the S8+ and it is a bit large but the S8 is perfect for my pocket.

The high price of the Note 8 and the low price of the S8 these days makes it really a difficult sell unless you need the S Pen or the dual camera. Or if you just are a fan of the Note series.

I bought an S8+ for my wife today. Unlocked they are down to about $650. Which is a pretty good price IMO. So far, I think Samsung has nailed the feel of the device in-hand. I really like it. I have a Mate 9 and while I prefer 16:9, the S8 is so nice to hold. My only impression is that TouchWiz...

I bought my wife a S8+ today. She wanted a larger phone and she was used to her Samsung S7. So I figured the couple of extra hundred dollars over the Mate9 would be worth it to keep her in her comfort zone (she doesn't like switching phone manufacturers). Working the S8+ confirmed everything...

My Mate9 is unlocked and I'm on AT&T with no carrier branding or bloatware. It's a bit different.
