Why do some stores remove the $5 texting option? Would it be possible to get back onto this option through Verizon later somehow?

Sorry, I'm kind of confused. So for family plans, this only applies to the primary line? And, supposedly if you buy a phone for that primary line, you cannot transfer the phone to a different line? Hmm, I wonder how that's possible.
