Galaxy S9+ Black Crush and Gradient Banding Issues

Mine was the same in the power off menu before the ARCC update but now that issue is gone there. Still experiencing it everywhere else though.

Galaxy S9+ Black Crush and Gradient Banding Issues

It's not an Oreo issue cause the normal S9 doesn't suffer from black crush and banding. My phone doesn't show any black crush or banding when playing the Swordsmith video in HDR but shows the crush and banding in any other HDR video in YouTube and the other apps. Solving a murder would have been...

Galaxy S9+ Black Crush and Gradient Banding Issues

Before the wallpaper update when I long pressed the power button to show me the power off screen I could clearly see the gradient banding due to the blurry effect, it was disgusting. But now after the update this problem is gone, along with the wallpapers as well. I don't think that the...

Galaxy S9+ Black Crush and Gradient Banding Issues

There is a new software update rolling out. Haven't received it yet but the changelog includes an improvement to the wallpapers. Not sure if the display issues will be addressed. The size was about 300 MB I think.

Show us picture(s) taken with your S9/S9+!

Hey guys, do you get any distortion in the photos, especially around the edges of the photo. My camera tends to distort almost anything around the corners and even in the center. Circular objects also appear elliptical under some angles. Is this an issue with the lens being wider angle or it...

Galaxy S9+ Black Crush and Gradient Banding Issues

Mine is Exynos as well. The issue with the banding is a bit reduced when playing standard videos rather than HDR and with Video Enhancement disabled, however still present in all apps. I was just checking the specifications between the Snapdragon 845 and the Exynos 9810 and everywhere its...

Galaxy S9+ Black Crush and Gradient Banding Issues

Strangely when I open the photo now it doesn't show any issues, it's perfectly normal. I hope it's just a software issue that's fixable.

Galaxy S9+ Black Crush and Gradient Banding Issues

The photos were taken from The Grand Tour (Season 1, Episode 1). I was streaming from the Amazon Prime Video app. You can check it out at about 01:15 min:sec.

Galaxy S9+ Black Crush and Gradient Banding Issues

This is the issue on my S9+ compared to my old S7 edge, and I must say it looks pretty pretty pretty bad: Galaxy S7 edge Galaxy S9+

    Navigation bar burn-in

Does anyone experience burn-in from the navigation bar? I got my Galaxy S9+ on the 12th of March and the home button has already burnt in and can be seen in some conditions. I've set the bar to auto-hide but have set the AOD to appear with the square icon for the home button at the bottom. Not...

Galaxy S9+ Black Crush and Gradient Banding Issues

Mine is completely the same but the banding disappears when I increase the brightness somewhere above 50%.

    Blood Pressure

You must first obtain your blood pressure results from a real blood pressure monitor with a cuff. Then you click the recalibrate button in the app, then choose other type of blood pressure cuff. After that when you take a measurement in the app it will show you numbers rather than percentages.

    Dust in camera

I don't have another phone with a good camera which will be able to take a photo where you can see the dust particles. They are even hard to see with your own eyes and can be only seen under direct light.
