Still pretty new to all of this but pretty sure I understand. The only thing is I was planning on trying out a new rom, I think it is CHAos. If I follow these instructions, can I then get chaos and reboot into recovery and just flash chaos?

Yeah I have an app called advanced task manager and I use it to kill everything and free up ram, but I find several things just immediately start up again and are there to be killed when I open ATM immediately thereafter. I thank you all for your very very generous help and the ROM suggestions.
