Those steps worked for me as well although I didn't need a temp google account. They should really ask you what to sync when adding an account since it's so difficult to remove. Thanks

Exactly, I can't decided if I should buy the US one and then change the firmware or just buy an international one without warranty. Would have bought one long ago if the fingerprint sensor worked.
