I just contacted american express and still no charge, from AT&T, for the phone yet. So AT&T definitely did not ship today, at least for me. I am really hoping that it ships tomorrow, so that I will have it in my hand on Monday.

When pre-ordering online it specifically states that they will do a test charge for the full amount and that you will see it drop off your credit card account within 4-5 days.

If stores are getting on the first then we should start seeing tracking numbers tomorrow or Friday as mail-in pre-orders usually get theirs the day before corporate stores get delivery.

Definitely sounds like the charge to hold the funds and not the charge when shipping. You would see a tracking number if that were the case.
