Re: [Official] July 25th Update - Links first post, and/or page 7 Now that I just read this post, I tried updating the profile and PRL on mine too. They keep failing no matter what I try. Wifi on, wifi off, reboot, etc. It will not update. I am currently on PRL P:01115

Everything still the same for me. Only difference is they took away my tethering. So if anything this update is WORSE.

Re: [Official] July 25th Update - Links first post, and/or page 7 Ok got the update installed. Absolutely no difference. If anything, its worse. Before wifi dl speeds were around 8mbps now I am only getting about 4.5mbps. Still get 0 to 1 bar in my house while my wife's evo still gets 2-3...

Re: [Official] July 25th Update - Links first post, and/or page 7 I downloaded the update from the google link and renamed it to update.zip. I can't get this to work. I am rooted with Clockwork and stock rom. I keep getting the error -- Installing update... assert failed...

Get a new phone. Can't do it on the Nexus phones. Google has it blocked.

So yeah... apparently they are changing the premier gold status again? My plan went silver on April 1st and I made no changes to my plan... Just got this email--

I don't know if this is related or not but all day today I have been getting errors when sending text messages saying "message not sent" with the red exclamation icon. Even when I have a signal.

I am having signal issues as well. I am consistently 2 bars below what my wife has on her evo. Same goes for 4G. Was in an area that gave her full 4G signal on her evo, I had 1 'bar' on my Nexus. Pretty disappointing to say the least.

I agree that sound is waaaaay too low. My wife's EVO can be heard across the house when playing music. I can barely hear this NS from 5 feet away. And yes, the volume is all the way up.

Because its a developer phone that isn't loaded with carrier and 3rd party bloatware. Hence the smaller profit margin and lower overall userbase (read: your grandma wouldn't want a Nexus S).

I have to ask this, what is the significance of having the phone ON LAUNCH DAY? What is the benefit? The people in this thread are so worried about having the device on or before May 8th... I have a crappy HTC Hero that is on its last leg. I pre-ordered the Nexus S from BB (local store) but...

No change of service at all in my area.

So I thought it was going to cost me an arm and a leg to upgrade since I got screwed by the premier changes... just got done chatting with sprint support online-- :-)
