These appear to be Samsung informing us as users that they no longer support the application. There doesn't appear to be a disable button in the application manager for the applications as well.

I am seeing the same sort of thing. If I use the My Files application, I see my SMemo files in the SMemo folder.

Did you use one of the file browsers to see if the files actually exist? This morning when I tried to access my S Memo files, it showed a blank document with no other documents present. However, if I look in My Files > All Files > Device Storage > SMemo, all the files are located there.
