Interesting. Sent an email the other night as well asking if they switched it up, and if an exchange is possible. The leather itself appears to be exact. Which do you prefer?

Thanks for the info. Just received after 2 weeks (bounced around L.A. for 5 days). From the images on their site, the outer leather appears to be somewhat raised / cushy. Yours seems to be slightly puffed as well, but mine is super flat:
