You should check your APN settings for the mobile data issue and make sure they match the ones that Optus uses. The Telstra settings might still be there and could be causing the internet issues. Technical Settings, SMSC & APNs: Mobile Phone I don't have a S2 anymore, so I don't know where...

    Did I brick my Galaxy S2 ?

Re: Did I brick my S2 ? Yeah, the Siyah kernel is really old and incompatible with JellyBean (4.3), so that's why it's doesn't boot all the way. It's not bricked. You just need to reflash. Prior to that, did you do a factory reset after flashing SlimBean?

EDIT: Found this post on XDA-Developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16824749&postcount=10 Maybe Phone A is an I9100T? Maybe the incorrect modem/baseband is causing the connectivity issues?

Stuck in CWM-recovery; Can't mount sdcard or restore

Actually, according to the OP, the rom never flashed, which is actually a good thing. Although the N7000 pretty has much the same hardware as the i9100, no one should be flashing the that rom except for those with experience. Whoever wrote that article is an irresponsible *****. However, if the...

Is this a fake S2 phone?

Just to answer your question, the box is real. Samsung produced two Galaxy S II variants for AT&T in 2011: The Galaxy S II (Model #: SGH-i777), which is a non-LTE phone, and the Galaxy S II Skyrocket (Model #: SGH-i727), which is a LTE phone. The phone on the box is the i777 model. Since you...

    Samsung Galaxy S2 models

Any case that fits the original non-Skyrocket AT&T GS2 (SGH-i777) should fit your phone. The Skyrocket has a larger screen (4.5"), so cases for that particular model won't fit.

    Samsung Galaxy S2 models

The Straight Talk S959G is basically a rebranded AT&T GS2 (SGH-i777). And not all the GS2's contain the same hardware. The AT&T GS2 Skyrocket (SGH-i727) and T-Mobile GS2 (SGH-T989) use a Snapdragon S3 CPU rather than Samsung's Exynos processor. The i9100G uses a Texas Instruments OMAP4430.
