Here's what works for me : name your files with no spaces in the file name and add the word "Ringtone" or "Notification" to the end depending on which sound you want it to be. IE: SongTitleRingtone.ogg (can be mp3 also). Place it in (internal) sdcard >media>audio >ringtones (or notifications)...
