how do you "reset the app to factory settings"?

i used to have an HTC G2 before my Galaxy Samsung S4 (only a week old) & was able to set up the setting for all of my MMS messages to be automatically retrieved upon receipt. So the MMS message would show on my pop up notifications. With the Samsung Galaxy S4, I'm unable to find the settings...
