Well, honestly, if your device is getting true 4G LTE, it should say LTE. If it's getting just "enhanced 3G/HSPA +," then it'll just say 4G. L'il confusing, but, that's the way our US networks have worked it out.

Would be super neat if they could work out some sort of wireless charger or wireless charging station. Although, most of those now make you have to modify the battery somehow with a little adapter, so I don't know if I'd like that.

Yup, Verizon is the only US carrier who's going to sell the Pixel through the carrier themselves. Everybody else has to go through the Google Store, or other similar avenues.
