You're brilliant. That's a million dollar answer. I was baffled and so frustrated until you just saved me from throwing my phone out the window. Why does Networking have to be so complicated? And I have 25 years experience as an IT Project Management.

I just solved it. I found the answer buried in another thread. I'd like to gone credit where credit is due, but I can't locate it again I'm trying to connect to an extender. All I had to do was "forget" the original SSID and the Extender connected flawlessly. I'm so happy!

Do you do this on the phone or the router?

Why can I connect just fine to my Wi-Fi with my old phone. But with this Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus I get the error "Couldn't get IP address"? How do I fix this? Thanks in advance!

I have a Nokia 6.1 I used to hold the box icon to split the screen horizontally to view two apps at once in 8.1. Now it doesn't do that. I didn't use it often. But it was very useful when I do use it.
