I finally found a fix to the bluetooth portion, at least I believe I did as it worked for a couple of months. I had turned on Power Saving Mode and Block background data. When I turned this back off my phone and blue tooth worked properly again. HOWEVER, my son is borrowing my truck this weekend...

I just bought the Galaxy S5 from Verizon last Friday and for some reason when I disconnect my phone from Bluetooth, the person I'm speaking with can no longer hear me. All they hear is static although I can still hear them. I have to shut the phone down, take out the battery and then start it...
