    su 3.0.7 on the t-bolt and i keep getting notifications that it's outdated. Says tap to update or I can go into the option and untick the notification box in the app itself. I guess my question is if I tap to update will I lose root ?

    If your current firmware is 2.11.605.9 then you need to downgrade to 2.11.605.5 I had the exact same issue. After the downgrade I followed the video and the whole procedure went very easily.

    Anyone here tether a Kindle Fire to their Bolt?

    This version works sweet,had issues with newer versions creating adhoc connections which the fire will not connect to. Now my Kindle connects every time to my rooted tbolt. Thanks !
