OK...I figured it out. Or, more like I lucked into fixing it. I disabled ALL security (no PIN, no pattern, etc). This also disabled fingerprint too. I then set up security using Pattern and guess what...now it works. I then added fingerprints and it still works. Whaddya know. Funny thing...

I checked the Device Admin and there were 3 apps listed but none of them were enabled. I also tried changing the pattern, using a PIN instead of a pattern to no avail. How do I wipe the cache in the Recovery menu? If all else fails am I resigned to a factory reboot?

Face Unlock is not set up. I also tried going outside my house on the chance that the "Trusted Places" was forced on using my home address but even outside the house (~ half mile away) the lock screen was still getting bypassed when pushing the Power button.

No, does not work in safe mode either.
