This has been happening to me lately as well. I've noticed that sometimes my phone will simply not wake up. It appears as if the phone is still on, as the notification light is blinking, but it is unresponsive to the power button. I have to force a reboot as well to get it functioning as normal...

Just an update if anyone is experiencing similar issues. I called Google support today and was told that in order to fix this issue, all I had to do is go into the display settings and turn off the Daydream mode (which I never used anyway, didn't know it was on in the first place). Hopefully...

Yea, if it happens again soon I'll try plugging it in to see if it's still on or not. Otherwise I might call Google, I was just trying to avoid sending away for a replacement phone if I could.

I'm not sure whether or not the phone has actually turned itself off, but I believe it's still on, just unresponsive. In order to get it working again, I have to hold the power button for a good 10 seconds, wait, then press the power button again to start it up. It happens just randomly...

I've had my nexus 4 for a few months now, really digging it so far. The only issue I've come across is that sometimes the screen will randomly decide not to turn on. In order to get it working again I have to hold the power button for a good 5-10 seconds to shut it down, then press it once again...
