I've had this issue with my Verizon s7 edge (also on Tracfone) since updating from Marshmallow to Nougat last year. I have to place an outgoing phone call after every restart to restore service. It's a minor nuisance I guess, but if the phone were to restart itself without me realizing it...

I'm not going to update to Oreo. The update from Marshmallow to Nougat caused my phone (SMG 935V) to be "searching for service" after every restart, requiring an outgoing phone call to be made to restore service. Samsung hasn't done anything to address the issue, so as far as I'm concerned...

No ideas, but I've been having the same issue with my Galaxy Tab s2 and the Chrome browser. Usually shutting down the tab and opening a new one helps.
