For the most part ICS is using hwa, and hardware rendering on the UI anyway, right? That's probably why it doesn't make much of a difference on ICS with the UI and maybe that's why it would seem different with apps. For GB entirely disabling CPU rendering feels glorious, I guess it's because...

PACman ICS tweaked to my liking by me. Originally compiled by maucat, I just improved it with additional tweaks and build.prop edits. All around it's amazing, speed wise and performance wise. Give it a shot, I'm sure you'll love it. Time to get off plain old CM9 and try something more...
