Can the LG V30 be used with Strait Talk?

So (I just want to make sure I understand you completely/correctly) you're saying the unlocked phone needs to have been unlocked from formerly those carriers? So a an unlocked Verizon phone won't work on Straight Talk for example?

Can the LG V30 be used with Strait Talk?

It's not listed on their website but I was wondering would it work with an unlocked V30?

    v30 Trade in promos?

When I returned my ill fated Note 7, it only got back what I had paid on it(not much). So my V20 was full Verizon price. I'm really hoping Verizon will have a V20 trade in deal for the V30 (from the V20) like they did for the s8+ from the s7. I don't want to wait for the V40 before I can upgrade.

Seems like V30 is going to be the best phone

It does according to me and the thousands of others who have said the same thing. By your own admission, LG phones are lighter in their software. Yet now you want to say they're the same because it's something negative about Samsung. More rose colored glasses..

Seems like V30 is going to be the best phone

You admit Samsung's software is "heavier"... But it's not bloated. Seems like you're the one with rose colored glasses. I've used both. I just have a far different opinion than you, apparently

Do you guys buy Samsung’s excuse about the battery size?

Does it really matter? You have to look at it like this: Samsung simply can NOT afford to have a single battery heat/fire issue like last time. If the Note 8 does, the entire future Note series will be in jeopardy. Not to mention, billions more in losses. They could potentially lose their top...

Seems like V30 is going to be the best phone

PAST being the operative word there. Unless the V30 has bootloop/software issues (unlikely) there's no need to judge the V30 negatively based on past generations issues. And I like the light skin of the V20. I've owned several Samsung's prior and I prefer LG's IU and light skins much better. I...

Is fast charging good for the phone

Horsesh*t. It's not the speed of the charging that hurts batteries. It's overcharging (charging after battery reaches 100%) and running your device too hot, for too long. Those are the 2 most common battery life killers. Set your apps/widgets/notifications on your phone to warn your device is...

anybody jumping to the new note 8?

I believe it's 35% on the Note 8 trade in deal for Verizon

anybody jumping to the new note 8?

Why not get a replacement battery then? Surely a brand new battery by LG or 3rd party would work better, no?

Are you going to rock it naked? Or add protection?

Gotta have some protection. Phones are too expensive and pretty to get all dinged up from drops on the concrete etc. But I agree, I prefer the minimalist approach. Plus bulky cases can trap heat on your device and that can ruin batteries and performance over time if your device is running too...

On V20, thinking of getting V30 or Note 8

All early reports on review units for v30 say the curve is not extreme. They say it is mild. Ergonomics are good. I have a V20 as well. Have had Notes in the past. I'm personally going for the V30. At roughly $200 cheaper than the Note 8 plus quad-Dac it's a deal

Welp, I guess I'm sticking with the V20 for at least a another year.

While I can sympathize (I have a v20 myself) this is the price we pay to have the IP68 water resistance and wireless charging. Might as well accept it because removable batteries will be good on all good phones soon. Get yourself a good portable charging solution rather than buying umpteen...

    I don't understand who's the target market

While that's fine if you're happy with the sound, but, BT is inferior to a wired headphone set up in terms of audio quality. It's a lossy way to transfer audio

Can't get either Samsung tablets and Samsung S6 Active to connect to car's bluetooth simultaneously

Rukbat is right. Just because some BT protocols will all 2 connections, doesn't mean all will. It really does depend on the device. And then some will all a simultaneous connection BUT only allow one protocol to be heard at a time based on the situation.
