Here's an ugly pic I took of ants devouring a morsel of food. I was very impressed at how detailed it came out at full resolution.
However, it looks lousy displayed here on this website. I had it in the photo stream on Google Drive and downloaded it to my computer, but as I said, the quality...
No distortion at all. Having said that, I never find it necessary to go at max volume. I believe they limit volume when it detects distortion. I could be wrong as I read so many different phone articles.
The camera on the 6P is top notch; going to the MXPE would be a definite downgrade.
It might be a good buy, but I'd spend a bit more and get a 6P. I bought the bottom feeder model 16G version of our phones for $400 in January which of course would be a bad buy today (maybe even back then).
I can relate to the pain of the screen breaking. It cost me $165 at a "professional" repair shop and I'm not sure it's worth it, but I figured since it's only 6 months old, I went for it. It fell from waist high onto a gravel parking lot, face down.
Everyone needs to buy a battery pack! I bought one which ends "range anxiety" with this or any phone. The one I happen to have cost less than $9, is a 4400 and charges the phone rather fast, about twice as fast as a regular wall charger.
I learned that turning down the screen brightness dramatically increases battery life. I can now get 4 hrs of SOT if needed while before just barely more than 2. I don't know how low, maybe 40%, but with no or little sacrifice in viewing comfort.
Also watch for sneaky apps that draw power...
