As long as you have the receipt just take it back to Walmart and they will look at your receipt and then get you another phone and scan it for you no big deal. I had it happen to me. A new worker didn't do something right when he scanned it. I took it back and they asked for the receipt...

Did you report it to the police? I guess that's really all you can do now. The police can do a process of elimination and see who came in and out during the time frame the nexus was at his friends and go from there.

Take it back to the store. If you wait and send it back they will see you opened it and that voids the warranty.

I got the update 2/14/13 In IL about 20 minutes to the St Louis area. I am not sure what I am supposed to see that is different. I guess because I am a bit ticked off that it removed my root and so I had to redo everything. And now the nexus root tool kit is not updated so I can not re-root this...

Re: 4.2.1 Because otherwise after an update it hangs on the little android flat on his back with a ! on it's belly. It's so much easier to just back it up and unroot it, update it and root it again. For me it is anyway.

Re: 4.2.1 I never have had a second of trouble with my nexus 7 even with updates no problems. Now I have to unroot before a update but thats ok its no big deal. I got both updates and rooted it again and everything runs smooth.

What launcher are you using? I use the paid version of nova and I am having no issues at all. Not even with the lag others have reported.

Well if its not coming on then the nexus people cant tell if it is locked or unlocked. Also have you tried the nexus tool kit. Theres a option to use if nothing is turning on the nexus. Check it out. It got me all fixed after I bricked mine. I was able to flash the new update and get everything...

I won't be getting rid of my nexus 7 16gb but I will be buying the new nexus 7 32 GB.
