    Sorry for reviving a dead thread, but I just discovered that on a Galaxy S II you can place two fingers side-by-side on any homescreen and swipe left to bring up the homescreen editing tiles.

    I just discovered this solution by accident, and I know it works on Samsung GX2 phones... place two fingers side-by-side on any home screen and swipe to the left. This will bring up the home screen modification tiles.
