you could always use widget locker, thats what i'm using and it automatically takes up the whole screen (other than the slide to unlock portion of course.

hmm. i actually feel like my battery has improved under 4.3. i get what a lot of people are saying. i think what may have happened is that they consolidated a bunch of packages into "android system" (go to power->usage->android system and scroll down and view included packages). i feel like this...

hmm, no issues with that for me. sure your proximity sensor isn't covered up (the 2 little black dots next to the speaker at the top of the phone)?

i believe if you leave the widget set at 4x2 (mine is at 4x4) and go into advanced settings and make sure "always center" is not checked then the small icons should show up along the side of the clock.

here is widgetlocker with dash clock as my only widget on it. i like the setup. yes it does seem like they've got all the bugs that i experienced on my evo 4g lte ironed out now so that is good, i'm really liking the setup i've got with widgetlocker and dashclock.

did the notification/status bar used to be transparent? i can't remember. i'm on 4.3 and this is what mine looks like at all times.

if you've got 4.3 and you swipe down from the status bar with 2 fingers it'll automatically bring up the quick toggles.

i use chrome because i really like the syncing across my laptop, tablet and phone...but damn chrome strikes me as a power hog whenever i use it.

Did they ever fix where when you hit the home button it just automatically unlocks your phone? That annoyed the heck outta me.

still good for me, battery life seems better as well for me (but i've seen plenty of people saying it is way worse so i dunno). only thing different for me is the persistant AT&T logo in the top left corner unless i've got a notifcation, but no biggie really.
