I have the exact same problem. If its my hand, it responds to my touch. Lying flat on a table or desk, no. On some keys if I really press hard it will respond, others, no matter how hard you touch a key when its flat, nothing. I have a glass screen protector too. Anyone have an answer? This...

Thank you thank you thank you. I knew it had to be something simple. You were right. It worked! You are absolutely right! It worked. It was on another home screen.

It is frustrating. As I mentioned before, what I did was I went to the Google app, in my phone it was under Applications Manager, I have an S6, and I just clicked on uninstall updates. And it was fixed.

I went to my settings, applications, application manager, tap google, then tap on uninstall updates. A couple of times it will ask you to confirm, say yes. It did work for me.

It drives me crazy. I think if you tap the microphone symbol and it goes back to keyboard showing it sometimes will stop that duplication.

Same thing started happening to me a couple of weeks ago with my Samsung Galaxy S6. On voice to text, when I stop talking and send the text, it repeats everything I just said on the text and I have to delete it so I don't send it again accidentally. Any solutions yet?
