    Screen blacks out during phone call won't turn on

    The Vacuum trick worked a treat. I removed the battery and vacuumed every nook and cranny or the phone with as much suction as I could. After that the sensor changed from near to far in the phone tester. Thanks for the info, it was pissing me off.
