Re: nexus 7 will not connect to the internet
I had the same problem after the upgrade to 5.1. No matter what I did, my Nexus would not connect, even if sitting 5 inches from the router. It drove me mad. I tried all the "fixes:" switched channels, turned it on-off, et.al. ad nauseum. Nothing...
Re: Why will my Nexus 7 not connect to my wifi
Try this (link below). I had same problem and a simple fix of QOS setting in router solved the problem...
In my experience of this issue, these fixes are temporary. I live in an apartment building so I changed the channel. Yes, this worked for a while and then dropped out again. Then I tried turning it on and off. I gave the tablet a static ip; et.al. Everything worked for a while and then...
I think I've solved an annoying network connectivity issue that appeared as soon as the OTA upgrade to Lollipop. No matter what I did, my network went offline several times a day. My Nexus went offline and would give me "authentication" or "saved" messages. The only way the Nexus, wireless...
My problem with 5.0.1 was that my Nexus wouldn't stay on my wi-fi network and reported "authentication" error; or "saved" and without warning might reconnect for seconds our hours or not at all. I thought 5.0.2 might address it; it is better. There are fewer network dropouts with 5.0.2 but...
Got ota 5.0.2 update yesterday. WiFi better, but not perfect. Certainly not as reliable as it was before 5.0.1. Only drops occasionally if signal weaker.
Re: Nexus 7 2013 wifi not finding any available networks
I'm experiencing constant wi-fi drops on Nexus 7 tablet (2013 2nd generation) ever since ota update to 5.0.1, Network connection is hit or miss. When I try to reconnect it says either "saved," or "authentication problem." Then out of the...
I use dolphin browser on my Nexus 7 2013 tablet (wi-fi only) which (with the adobe flash 11.1 apk) played flash videos with no problem. I received the 5,.1 update through Google two days ago. Now flash video seems to be haphazard on certain sites.
Re: Dropped Nexus 7 not connecting to internet
three suggestions:
1. Soft reboot (hold power button 10-20 seconds, screen goes blank, keep holding power down until logo comes back on.)
2. Set a static ip (settings - wifi, press the plus sign in the upper right, add your wireless network name...
Had the same problem. Don't know if this is a solution for you but worth a try. After several chargings, the place in which I insert the cable lost its ability to hold snugly. Same turned out to be true for the ASUS cable and charger that came with Nexus. Before I figured out what the...
Is your bluetooth on? Make sure it's off [if you can get to settings]. I find that sometimes bluetooth interferes with certain apps, however your issue seems a bit more complicated than that. Turn off wi-fi too for good measure to see if that makes a difference. I'd send it back to Asus...
I had the same problem but it was easily remedied. I bought a new charger from New Trent and a new cable from monoprice. (Total cost $30). Problem solved.
