Anyone looking to upgrade to the S6?

No, for a few reasons: 1- The lack of headphone jack is a bad joke, and unacceptable 2- I don't like widescreen aspect ratios. I had the original Tab S before and switching to 4:3 from that was a blessing 3- These things are just getting way too expensive 4- Finally, my Tab S3 still works fine...

    Anyone interested in a Slate?

I'm definitely interested in the concept but the execution is flawed. The software needs more polish and the lack of headphone jack is not something I'm willing to accept at this point. No microSD I can live with nowadays as long as internal storage is plenty and price for it is reasonable, and...

So whose getting one of these?

It's definitely on my radar. I also far prefer the 3:2 aspect ratio to the 16:10 on the S4, though Google has gone a bit too far in mimicking Apple with their pricing and no headphone jack attitude. I'm hoping it makes an impact if only to rekindle interest in non-iPad tablets. A Samsung-made...

So whose getting one of these?

Had the opportunity to check both the new iPad Pro 11 and the Tab S4 this weekend and to be honest, the S4 is hugely disappointing. It's noticeably smaller than the iPad, despite that it weighs more, and performance is light years behind the Apple's product (and judging by benchmarks battery...

    Black bars on videos

You don't, it's not a "problem" as such. The further the content's aspect ratio diverge from your tablet's fixed aspect ratio (4:3), the bigger black bars you get, and there's a huge variety of ratios out there so no physical screen is ever going to be optimal to accommodate all of these...

So whose getting one of these?

The aspect ratio does not work for me at all. I've had both the original Tab S1 with identical dimensions to this one and the Tab S3, and other than video, 4:3 is so much better for what I do with my tablet and so much more balanced across both dimensions. Had it been 10.5" and 4:3 I think I...

When is the tab S4 coming out?

Wow, that's a quality first post. You seem like a nice person, keep it up.

Tab s4 next month? Should I wait?

I guess it's about time to get the clickbait windmill going. I wouldn't put much stock into it. I find it unlikely that Samsung is going to release a successor this soon.

    Tab s3 hissing sound

Hey, thanks for your answer. I take it that the replacement has been working fine since then? :)

    Tab s3 hissing sound

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but picked up a nice deal on a Tab S3 and I'm experiencing this. There's a hissing sound coming from the speakers when audio is being played even on zero volume. Did you guys find a solution for this?

When is the tab S4 coming out?

I'd prefer an exact clone of the iPad Pro (10.5" an 4:3) because 4:3 will give you a larger area for the same diagonal length and I believe it's a more balanced form factor where only video suffers a little bit, but at this point I would take a proper, updated version of my 16:10 Tab S without...

When is the tab S4 coming out?

I hope they release something next year to be at least a bit more competitive with the iPad Pro. The Tab S3 still retails for £600 in the UK and despite my deep dislike for iOS the S3 is a bad joke when compared to the iPad Pro 10.5. It's like they've given up.

What do you think of the Infinity Display on the S8?

I'm not buying a phone with a curved display, period. It may look great in press pictures but it ruins picture quality.

Select Keyboard on drop down menu: get rid of it?

I don't have the Tab S3 yet but if it works as it does on my S6, as long as you've got more than one keyboard installed, you will get the notification. The only way to get rid of it would be to disable the built-in keyboard (using third party apps). Try at your own risk.

Are you going to upgrade to the Tab S3?

Give Samsung's browser a try, especially the latest beta version. It's usually much more smooth than Chrome.
