A method for partitioning SD card for Internal and Media

Why would I take the card out of my phone? The portable storage still functions fine through Android File Manager. If you want to directly copy to the card, just keep your phone off while copying files to the card. On OSX it just showed up as the partition on my desktop, the "internal" partition...

A method for partitioning SD card for Internal and Media

I tried the formatting and it worked perfectly. Was able to move over 3 gb of apps and stuff I don't use much to give my phone some breathing room.

A method for partitioning SD card for Internal and Media

So has anyone tried this yet? https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/auto-formatting-sdcard-to-internal-t3583875 I would love to do this as my 16gb X Pure is full and I have to keep the caches cleaned just to keep it running. Doing the whole card is not an option as I was never able...

Android 7 Nougat for the Moto X Pure Edition

Re: When will we get Nougat? A few of us have issues with low notification volume even if the slider is set to max. The best I can figure is that it has to do with bluetooth devices as I don't have issues if I don't use my bluetooth. A safe boot is the only way I've found to manually fix it...

Contact not showing in Contacts app?

So I went to call someone and noticed that their contact listing wasn't in the phone (not in the directory listing) or contact app. So when I saw them again I asked for their number and when I was adding it the app asked if I wanted to add it to the contact that was already there. After much...

Why won't my Moto X Pure Edition get 6.0 Marshmallow?

I've had mine on cricket since I got it and back in early Dec when people started saying they were getting the Marshmallow update I yanked the sim card and got the update no problem.

    Mulling between 16 and 64GB

I have the 16gb and wish I had at least a 32GB. The system takes up so much of that memory that you cannot install that many apps. I even tried to do the SD card as internal memory, but then I couldn't figure out how to copy my music to it-it always copied to the true internal memory which ran...

Best Backup method for the Moto X Pure Edition?

That's what I've done before. Not crazy about it because it's not a very elegant solution and I lose settings for a whole bunch of stuff.

Best Backup method for the Moto X Pure Edition?

If you want to be the master of your phone, yes. It lets you do more thing at a base system level. Lets you control the system in a way you normally can't. For example, my Nova launcher toolbar has options like turn bluetooth and location on and off. Without root when I hit the location button...

Best Backup method for the Moto X Pure Edition?

So I want to fully backup my phone (apps, files, all settings, texts, etc.) so I can do a full reset to see if it helps with an issue I am having. In the past when switching phones I've have less than stellar luck with apps like Helium on the restore. Does anyone know of a backup app that will...

Mobile Hotspot on Cricket Wireless working on Moto X Pure?

I've been using my Moto X Pure on Cricket since early October and it works great. No issues what so ever. Reception is good, call quality is good. All is good except the friggin hot spot being disabled.

    Softer alert sounds under Marshmallow?

Arggg, I am still having this issue happen multiple times a week. Each time a restart fixes the issue, but there's never any consistency of when it happens. Sometimes, it stays loud for a few days and sometimes it's a day or less.

    Softer alert sounds under Marshmallow?

I don't think Glimpse is the issue, but it is a third party app that does run all the time, so it has to be considered. I have noticed that yesterday when I had the alerts go soft again that a simple reboot (not a safe reboot) fixed the issue. It hadn't fixed the issue in the past though, so...
