Look up BH Photo Payboo CC. They refund you the tax, which is $63 for me. Any of the carrier phone deals charge you an 'upgrade' fee, $40 for VZW. So, for any carrier phone deal that's $300 off or less (e.g. Target or current BB deal), it's better for me to go with BH Photo.

Agreed. For me, the BHPhoto deal is only $100 more than the BB deal, for a bootloader unlocked phone and no contract. Probably worth the extra $100. BB - $800 - $400 + $62 (tax) + $40 (activation) = $502 BHPhoto - $800 - $400 + . . . nothing = $600

Thanx for the quick response. I haven't found the need to root the Pixel 2. But, with all the issues with the Pixel 4 (like the decreased brightness), it may be useful. That being said, at $400 off the Pixel 4, a Pixel 3 is not much cheaper. (Neither is a 3a)
