From reading this thread, I decided to try Helix Launcher. It's so easy and I have only had 1 FC in a week now. Was getting them every day with home++ and dxtop was just ridiculously slow for me.

I have the same problem - it's super annoying. I'm also plugged in by the plug that came with the droid. I can eventually get the "power off" menu to come up, but that's it. This happens most days and is getting quite bothersome!

I use the stock player for my large collection, but wish it was more functional with some things. I like slacker over pandora for someone else's music though

I've been using home++ for about a week now and really like it more than DXtop. I dislike that I can't make my own dock, but this one works okay (it has what I need)... the speed of it though for me makes it a top choice.

definitely try the stock messages. I had this app for a few days but uninstalled it because I couldn't turn off the duplicate notifications (from handcent and system). And sometimes messages would only come through on one or the other.

Looks like pure calendar agenda. I love it!

If I'm responding with a long message, I typically use the hardware keyboard. But, its a bit cumbersome for me, I always feel like I'm the edge of dropping the phone. I didn't really like the virtual keyboards at first but am getting so much better at them. I want to try swype at some point too.

I had this same problem... never did find a way to turn it unfortunately (not without buying an expensive video editing program)!

Verizon store is the next step. Out of the 3 droid phones we bought, 1 doesn't have this problem at all, 1 is intermittent (so that leads me to believe the cell network issues) and the 3rd one is apparently doing it most of the time. I tried a reboot tonight and if that doesn't work the store...

Thanks for posting this. I've been using dxtop but have gotten so frustrated by the lagginess of it. All I really like it for is the category tray and the DOCK! I might try home++ next and see what I think, or like others.. I might just use the built in!

The facebook app has a setting in it to have a flashing LED signal for changes though for me it doesn't work very well :)

My app does not update my notifications... and I dislike that the news feed is not a constant update, but rather the quickest turnaround of 30 minutes. Going to try out Bloo and see what I think of it I guess. Updated - already don't like Bloo either... takes forever to load the news feed...

call echo Before you tell me to search the forums... I have :) We've tried all 3 settings and are still experiencing call echo on our end (other people think we sound fine). Any other suggestions or people with this problem?

So I've tried changing some settings around....perfectly still, do perfectly still...good lighting. And I'm still not thrilled with the quality.... maybe I'm expecting too much? Some of the detail posted on others is amazing compared to this.
