There are several new settings for Exchange since the release of 2.2. You probably have checked the settings already but I know I was having a similar problem and my sync was set to manual. A quick adjustment to "as it arrives" solved my problem.

+1 for Timeriffic - Does not turn your phone off but does control most all of the other functions. As a former BB user, I don't have the memory issues requiring turning the phone off and back on with Android phones that I did with my BB.

I have had a less than wonderful experience with their support staff. Trying to get their Safe Reader set up with an Exchange account and have not yet been able to get it working. Like the idea, but so far the experience has been disappointing.

For conference calls, once you have the first party on, hit the menu button, then "add a call", then when the second caller answers you can hit "merge calls." Works great. Not sure how many callers you can add. So far the most I have had was myself and two others.
