Yes I am actually. And it was indeed the micro SD card causing this issue. Thank you! :) Is it then an issue with the SD card? I don't want to clog up the internal memory over time, thats why I prefferred setting the default to the SD card. Maybe I should just transfer all my data to a new card...

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing the same issue I am, but recently the default Camera app for my S8 Plus is freezing as soon as pictures are taken. This recently started occuring 2 days ago. As soon as pictures are taken the Capture button remains highlighted and the app freezes up...

I have emailed Whatsapp on the issue multiple times, even contacted them from the app itself, but they haven't come back to me with anything close to a solution other than what has already been tried beforehand by me. This issue hasn't been resolved on my end unfortunately.

B. Diddy: I did try what you said above, but I could not find the Samsung Keyboard app under Apps in Settings. Strange, because I did see it come up when selecting "Languages and types" when accessing settings via the input field. But from there I changed the Input Language to English(UK)...

The camera does work on the S8 Plus's default camera app as well as a few other camera apps I use. This could then be a Whatsapp issue because after uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, the camera add-on when messaging still unfocusses when I touch to focus.

After the last software update, every time I touch to focus on Whatsapp's built-in-camera while I'm sending a message the camera instead is unfocusing. There was a Whatsapp update as well but judging from the other phones of friends and family, it seems to be happening on just my Samsung S8...
