You all probably knew this already, but a really cool feature of Moto Voice I recently learned about is that if you are holding the phone down by your side and lift it up to your ear, Moto Voice is activated and can be used like a normal phone conversation, not on speaker.

This has been happening on my Moto X. However, when I get a blank screen, then tap 'settings', then go back to the screen, my page opens up. Weird, and annoying.

Thanks for the suggestions. I cleared the cache; no improvement. My problem started before the last update. Will try uninstalling updates and installing the new update. I'll report back.

I've been using TouchpalXL. IMO, it's every bit as good as Siftkey, and it's FREE.

Re: Go to dialer screen? I use the Direct Dialer Widget as well and have my 8 most frequently called contacts listed...set up to dial their cell # as soon as I tap on the contact. I find this to be a fair substitute for speed dial.

Another vote for ColorNote. Let's you create text notes or check-off lists. Very convenient interface.
