    Samsung Galaxy S5 - Call Screen has suddenly lost mute and dial pad

    My phone did the same. I turned it off. Took battery out. Press the power button for 15 seconds without the battery. Powered phone back on with battery and everything was solved. Hopefully it works for you too.
