Go in to your location settings and make sure GPS is not enabled. It should be set to wifi only.

Does installing this firmware wipe all settings or is it treated like an upgrade?

Never mind. I think it may be the "secured lock time" which defaults to 10 minutes which i assume gives you a 10 minute window where fingerprint is not required

Hi all. New S7 edge user here. I setup my fingerprint to unlock the phone yet when i click to wake it up it isn't asking me to authenticate via fingerprint. It just says "swipe to unlock". What am I missing?

What about some of these push apps such as Pushbullet? Would those work?

Hi all, My wife and I will be receiving this week our new Galaxy S7 Edges. We're coming from iphones and ipads. I'm wondering if in the Android world there is an equivalent to imessage which would allow us to send and receive SMS texts on both the phone and, say, a Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet...

Finally made some progress. Disabled Location Reporting and Location History. Went to bed at 100%. Got up at 94%. Much better. It's held up well during the day today too.

Quick update. Disabling Blinkfeed didn't seem to make any difference and it still dropped 11% overnight but overall doesn't seem to be too bad. I've used it a fair bit today and it still has 49% left.

Coming from an iPhone 5 quite a bit more. Keep in mind I've barely used it in all that time. Maybe 30 minutes surfing the internet. The rest has been in standby
