I wouldn't count on that. It's not unique to the S5, or even to Samsung products. It appears to be a universal android bug, even with new versions of Android.

I have KitKat (4.4.4) on my S5 Active (SM-G870A), but is there a way to find out if I have the latest build version? I'm having an issue with my screen flickering at low brightness settings (Like a lot of people) and want to find out if it's a bug that has been fixed in a new firmware version...

I don't know if you can get a class action suit, but even if it resulted in a recall, it'd be great. Even just a firmware update to fix it would be fine.

I'm having the same issue. It really sucks because I have to set my phone at a low brightness when I'm driving and displaying a traffic flow map (or GPS). I found what looked like a possible solution, but it didn't work either...

I was able to remove the protective film on the camera lens, but I can't tell if it is still there on the LED flash. I suspect it may already have been removed. If I can't even see it, I wonder if there is any reason to remove it?

Is there an anti-glare tempered glass screen protector for the S5 Active? I currently have the Gadget Guard Black Ice screen protector, but the glare is bad when I use my phone for GPS and Traffic Maps in my car.

This is what I got back from Urban Armor Gear (UAG). I suggested that they should make a case for the S5 Active, preferably waterproof to 10 meters for indefinite periods, but even 10 feet for 3 hours would do. Hi Mark, Thanks for reaching out. We currently don't have plans for the S5 Active...

Is the slower (EVO) one likely to be more reliable? I care more about reliability than speed - I'll use it mainly to archive photos & video and to store my music. I'll probably move some apps I don't care too much about onto SD storage as well. I don't intend to have my camera write directly to SD.
