I found the tick box and checked it and allowed permission on the next screen. Now what? I can find files that I would like to download to my USB stick under the Advanced menu on the homescren. I Slect All and hit download but nothing seems to happen.

From the home screen in Media Importer touch the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. Select Preferences, Scroll down to "Enable Write" and check the box. A permission screen opens up that needs to be approved and then you should be okay. You may need to close the app and re-open it...
