Try disabling any utility type apps that if you swipe or do a gesture it will bring up a menu or the program,

Omni swipe can also cause this. disable or uninstall

If you have Omni swipe disable or remove it

I didn't have any of those programs mentioned I did have Omni swipe which puts a small dot on the screen so I disabled it and had no problems after that

Whilw to be some type of connection error I went on wifi and was able to connect to Google Play. Then turn off wifi went back to mobile and was able to access Google Play no problem using mobile after that. Had same problem with maps not connecting to the server. connected fine while on wifi...
