hmm I've never seen any media player (that i can remember) that displayed art per track. The only thing I can think of is to embed the art in to the ID3 tags, see if that works?

I don't get the "the M8 speakers are awesome" stuff, who seriously plays music via the speakers ? I don't recall ever doing that. Everyone uses headphones and the S5 sounds pretty good through my sennheisers and is more than loud enough "voltage at the headphone jack" doesn't mean squat.

My screen lights up too. Related question: If you receive a text and don't touch the phone the screen turns off, this is ok, however the LED notification light is not on. If I go settings -> display -> LED indicator the notifications option is ticked. Missed call does exactly the same - no LED...

No need to change lockscreen, go settings -> lockscreen -> additional information and make sure it is set to OFF.

So you have an mp3 as an attachment to an email ? I think what is happening is that the application you pick is being used to play the song, not download it. I'd just save the attachment , put it on your SD card, or if you don't have one, save the file to the music folder. The music app will...

I'm looking for a music player that will auto play. Preferably in shuffle/random mode. I want to start it using NFC Task Launcher so it can be an "activity".. I have checked out several but none have an "activity" that will actually start playing music. Thanks!

might not be the answer you want, but I use a belkin aircast to do the same thing and play music from the phone, works just fine.

Re: how to access the sd card on Nexus 7 screw all that, you have a dropbox account with your S3, upload to there and then just browse to it on the N7 and download it all. Easy.
