Yes, that's annoying me too. I downloaded the new Google Messenger which fits into the theme much better but there doesn't seem to be a way to disable the standard messaging app so it still sits in the app tray. :(

That sounds like more a UI issue than burn in, but having looked at mine closely I can notice a bar at the bottom where the three on-screen buttons are... anyone else noticed this? I think it actually is with the screen as it stays static - I can only think it is where apps make the bottom black...

How did you replace the icon again? Do you need to use another launcher (if so, which)? I'd like to retain the stock appearance.

Got mine yesterday - no problems to report but lack of silent mode is annoying... :)

Mine only seems to work with the top sensors.
